Description:
Amongst the magnificent wine regions in the Cape, Stellenbosh distinguishes itself as the fountainhead of South Africa\'s mosto prestigious wines. Winemaking here dates back more than three hundred yars. Stellenzicht, first granted in 1692, dates back to the pioneering years at the Cape.
Known initially as Rustenburg and later as Alphen, the property at one time belonged to the Bairnsfather-Cloete family who produced the famous Constantia wines. In 1981 the farm was acquired by Hans-Joachim Schreiber who renamed it Stellenzicht, litterally \"view of Stellen\" (bosch).
