At an altitude of more than 1000 m above sea level, Cederberg Private Cellar
is South Africa\'s highest winery. A cool continental climate, with snow in
winter and northwesterly breezes in the hot summers, combined with several
different soil types, unpolluted air and crystal clear waters, make this dramatic
landscape the ideal terroir for a wide range of noble wines, most notably
its prize reds. Our high-grown wines continue to win the highest accolades,
from listings on international airlines to Veritas Double Gold awards.
The Estate's sound reputation for producing world-class red wines can be ascribed, in part, to its excellent terroir. It is no coincidence that the area is known, locally, as the Golden Triangle. The vineyards face north, north-east and north-west. In summer, when the vines are drenched in sunshine, the late-afternoon sea breezes that rise from False Bay cool the grapes, thus lengthening the ripening period and preserving the complex flavours of the noble varietals grown at Alto.
La tenuta di Borgo Conventi è situata nell'estremo lembo orientale del Friuli, nella provincia di Gorizia, sulla strada che dal paese di Gradisca conduce a Farra d'Isonzo.
Borgo Conventi si trova nel Collio Goriziano, una collina (il collio, appunto) che si erge come un'isola su un mare dalle infinite sfumature di verde.
Sono passati quasi venti anni dalla prima annata del Romitorio di Santedame - venti anni da quando Ruffino, prima azienda in Toscana, si dedicò con passione alla sperimentazione del Colorino della Tenuta Santedame.
Unico vino del suo genere in Italia, il Romitorio di Santedame è testimone dell'importanza che Ruffino attribuisce alla riscoperta e alla valorizzazione dei vitigni autoctoni toscani. E' un vino che nei suoi profumi, nel suo gusto, racconta la natura del suo paese madre: è imponente, ma dal tocco soave, è vigoroso, ma dall'anima raffinata. Un vino con carattere. Un vino unico.
